Default 2010 Qcon Tourney Suggestions

It's the start of a new decade and what better than to have retro tournaments that displayed some of the greatest memories from the early years from 2000-2003? I'm talking about Quake 3 and RtCW! You see older Quake players coming back such as stermy, cooller, etc for QuakeLive and I can guarantee you would see some of the best old school teams from both Quake 3 and RtCW.

Some may think that Wolfenstein would have a better chance at being a main tournament this year since it was released about 5 months ago, but although Wolfenstein brought back teams from the old days of RtCW... they are now seen playing RtCW once again in TWL's RtCW Classic tourney. TWL's tourney was in no means a ploy to lobby to id/Activision for a tourney spot at this years Qcon, but only shows that even after a decade and 12 Call of Duty titles, RtCW is still considered by many the best stopwatch team game to date.

I would also be up for a 'Quad Damage' team tourney: RtCW/ET/ETQW/Wolfenstein
This would be interesting to have to see who truly is the most well rounded team to have played these titles.

What title(s) would you like to see this year?

Wolf series Quad Damage tourney...best.idea.ever.

Since it simply wouldn't be right to leave Quake out of Quakecon...a QL tourney would be awesome too! 1v1 & 2v2 tdm, IMO TBH.

do you know if 2010 Quakecon will have any band tournaments this year. I hope quakecon will be really big this year. It's like 6 months from now but I can't wait. One more question. Is quakecon going to be at the gaylord again.

I greatly appreciated the diversity of the games in 2007-2008. I would like to see a return to that. Hopefully, if Activision wants to get in on the parade again this year, we will see DJ Hero in addition to the usual id products. It's a shame that Modern Warfare 2 isn't LAN-friendly and requires Steam, or that would be a viable option.

I would like to see Activision fall flat on their face...is that a tournament choice?

Don't count on it. Getting Infinity Ward to put local listen server support into the game without having to connect through Steam is unlikely and I am fairly certain that they will abandon the game before they do so.

It beats another round of Left 4 Dead or Team Fortress 2 in my opinion. I'm sick of casual PC gaming. It just doesn't fit the mold of what the PC is capable of, nor the players. Not to mention, when you remove the competitive aspects of FPS games, there just seems to be something missing.
