Default BYOC Tournaments Feature Online Registration

Continuing the efforts to assure that BYOC Tournaments Make a Huge Comeback, we've already had some great responses from community tournament organizers and gamers alike in our BYOC Tourneys forum.

The QuakeCon BYOC staff is happy to announce that we're partnering with The Texan Gamer to bring their LAN party oriented tournament management system to the QuakeCon BYOC! You can start browsing the available BYOC tournaments now and begin registering for informal organized play in your favorite LAN games.

Currently we have six varied tournaments with committed organizers and staff liaisons, with more possibilities springing up each day in our BYOC Tourney forums. Check out http://byoc.thetexangamer.com right now to register for:

If you have other games you're wanting to organize or play, be sure to visit the BYOC Tourney forum to throw your hat in the ring! The tournament management software will remain online to handle registration through next week and then will be moving on-site to facilitate the fun that is organized play in the BYOC!

seeing that this is 'quake'con it would be nice to see some more quake based byoc tourneys rather than just a young gamer one.

Feel free to start drumming up some interest in one, get a thread started and poke around. I'm sure plenty of impromptu tournaments could get started too.

I tried, hardly anyone in the BYOC seems to care about Quake tourneys though, besides the young gamer one.

problem is that all the serious quake players are playing the official Quake Tournaments for the cash prizes, so there already are 2 Quake Tournaments
