Always a crowd-pleaser, Kyle Bennett and the staff of [H]ard|OCP (http://www.hardocp.com/) will once again host an open workshop for their friends and fans at this year's QuakeCon. Last year they discussed current hardware trends, had some impressive guest speakers, and entertained almost a thousand eager attendees. They also managed to give away prizes to a significant portion of the audience.

This year's event also promises to bring even more informative excitement. The workshop will be held Saturday, August 13th at QuakeCon. Be there!

Im glad to hear they will be back. It was one of my favorite parts of the whole event, lots of fun. Death to the 'phantom'. Great job getting them back again!

i have been to a few of the workshops (last year i won a mobo that is still sitting in the box cause of the lack of money to buy other components.)

I wonder if they are going to even attempt to show up at E3 this year, considering their booth last year promised the service would launch in 2004.

If they do show at E3, I bet Kyle will have a field day with it as usual.

last year was so embarassing. I was seating in the back with alot of my friends and some guy asked a retarded question about his videocard not working. Kyle couldn't hear the guy very well and asked which brand the card was. I had misheard the guy and I was so irrated by his long simple to find solution don't waste all of our time question I stood up and yelled out really loud Nvidia which is what I thought he'd said. I was wrong and I remember Kyle just stopping and staring at me for a while as everybody turned around to see who was big enough of a jerk to just yell out infront of 1000+ people the wrong brand for what appeared to be no reason. Why the hell did I type this I have finals in a couple of hours...damnit

After attending E3 this year, they were indeed a no show at the event. Which is pretty much a dead give away that they have no intentions of releasing the thing amist the next 3 big consoles' rollout, what with XBox 360 this year, and the various others over the course of the next few years. Either that, or they didn't have enough VC to manufacture a huge booth like they did last year (I swear they must have broke the bank on that thing). Or finally, the last alternative being that the thing just won't ever see the light of day. My money is on the last.

But yea, I'm totally going to be there for the workshop again this year.
